Paris Hilton had until June 5th to report to jail to serve her sentence and she decided to check into jail a day early.
Her mom Kathy Hilton rode with her and said it was very emotional. Paris had her mug shot taken so there is yet another celebrity mug shot.
Papparazzi had been staked outside the jail for several days, 24 hours a day to be able to capture video of the heiress when she checked herself into prison.
The prison will not permit the heiress to give any interviews. She will be housed in a special needs section so will be kept away from the general population. That doesn’t sit over very well with the general population inmates who are angry at the special treatment she will recieve because of her celebrity status.
But supposedly she isn’t going to receive any special treatment. She will not be allowed to have a cell phone or blackberry (which will be traumatic for the heiress) and will have to wear an orange jumpsuit like everyone else. She will also have to eat the yummy jail house food being served and for 23 days, for the first time in her life she won’t get exactly what she wants, exactly when she wants it.
Without a cellphone, shopping, or other distractions, heiress Paris will have plenty of time for something new…reflection and thinking.
