A former TV personality for MSNBC, Michael Savage made his own vulgar, sexist remarks a few years ago and nothing happened. But it was against a white woman, one of MSNBC’s own female reporters, Ashleigh Banfield and nothing happened. But she didn’t have an Al Sharpton to stick up for her.
Savage said on national TV than Banfield was a slut who looked like she went to reporting from porn. Banfield was shocked and hurt and asked MSNBC to take action against the hurtful remarks made against her on national TV, but MSNBC did nothing.
Now, after the Don Imus scandal, MSNBC fired Imus, but it had to be because they would have lost a lot of money if they kept Imus, after no one would advertise on his show and with media, it’s only about profits and ratings.
If MSNBC really cared about vulgar remarks being made, they would not have tolerated one of their own female reporters being so vulgarly bashed. Doesn’t look like they care about their female employees. Banfield got out of that toxic “family” and is now a reporter for Court TV.
As TMZ.com reported, according to MSNBC, it’s ok to say “sluts”, just don’t say “ho’s”.
