Elton John’s Venice Anniversary

Sir Elton John and David Furnish plan to celebrate their first ‘wedding’ anniversary with a romantic meal in Venice.

The couple - who threw a lavish, star-studded party when they tied the knot in a civil partnership ceremony last year - want to keep their anniversary low key with a romantic trip to Italy.

Elton told Britain’s Heart radio station: “We’re going to Venice for our anniversary to have a quiet dinner together. It’ll be lovely. The first year has gone so quickly. We feel great and very settled.”

The ‘Rocket Man’ singer and his partner recently attended the wedding of ‘Little Britain’ star Matt Lucas and his partner Kevin McGee and said: “I think they’re as happy as we are when we did it. They’ve been together for a long time and they looked like they were having the time of their lives.”
